lovely lighting and composition and love the anisotropic reflections too and how they react to changes in light and viewpoint.

OOI, around how long to render a frame and did you ever consider using an unbiased render engine for this? is this MC?

never done an animation before so just curious and interested :)

I can't remember what the render times were like, somewhere between 10 minutes to an hour, depending on the which bit it was rendering.
I used IC for this.
I don't use any other renderers, not much need for it. The quality from Modo is good enough and the productivity lost with introducing another renderer into the process wouldn't be worth it.

Cheers Si. I forgot to say; this is the one where I rendered it anamorphic foolishly thinking I'd get the oval bokeh. I guess we'll need a proper lens system for that...
