Topic - ipad sculpting app

just got the 123D creature ipad app

itunes link

pretty good fun for £1.49 okay it's not going to knock on zbrushes toolset
ever but it's usable for doodles and you can export the mesh to ob as well as use it's inbuilt renderer and painting tools to create a final "render"

the exported obj are triangulated and are around the 130K poly mark so are rather dense.

you can also load in your own backgrounds from your camera roll on the ipad also for comping in your sculpt with a photo as well as share your models.

it's a FUN app.

Wow! Those are some sweet toons. Very cool design.

Amazing what can be done on an iPad.

Nice, now I can sculpt at the park...as soon as its not freezing cold outside.
And you can order a 3D print of the model from that app. I really can't wait 'til all our 3d apps (ok just modo) have a 'print' menu item standard, and everyone has a $20 3D printer that chews through the $60 resin refills.
have to say it's a fun app...also just found the texture project tool...neat!

Bummer!
After purchasing this app, I found out that my 1st gen iPad cannot be updated to IOS6 and this app runs only in IOS6 and later.
