This recent project involved optimising and remodelling parts of the supplied CAD files, creating physics simulations of various tasty food stuffs, detailed texturing and finally rendering in Octane. Most of the food items were purchased stock models, which always require a lot of work optimising textures. The Cherio, though, is a 100% procedural texture created with various Octane noises. The Swedish Fish was retopologised from a scan I found on Sketchfab. The lentil I modelled and created a simple texture from a couple of stock images, using an alternate image on each side of the model to give the appearance of albedo variations. Lighting is done with an interior HDRI and additional area lights.
