Is it Friday already?
Sorry I'm a little late on the update. I've been cranking out GDC demos and trying to get some of them recorded for you to see. Our games beta testers are really stoked about the paint/baking tools in modo and frankly, so am I. BTW: This is useful for markets outside of gaming as well. If you use modo in a pipeline environment baking is a GREAT way to get complex texture data out of modo and into other apps.
Two more apologies. First, there is SO much more to the baking stuff that I didnt get a chance to show. I have to cut short today as I have a lot to do to prep for our GDC meetings. Finally, I want to apologize sincerely for the delays. I know it is hard for everyone to wait. I can tell you that everyone here is working as hard and as long as humanly possible to pull this all together. This was a fantastically ambitious upgrade to an already deep application. In retrospect it is clear that we bit off a little too much. The upside is that when you get this upgrade you are getting one WHALE of an upgrade.
So when? I must admit that I am unable to give you a solid date. I can tell you the progress and I can also tell you that we are seeing light at the end of the tunnel. It's coming. It really is. Progress report! On the NVIDIA bug we have narrowed it down and it seems that this mostly affects systems with two monitors and is worse on Win2K machines than XP. Our testers have been very good to us lately helping with some very focused testing. Bugs in general continue to fall off at a solid rate. Which is quite uplifting.
So for those of you who can't take seeing more good stuff, turn away now! Because here come the goods.
I'm going to go all video this week and save some interesting new images for next Friday. Since we have a gaming flavor I thought sticking to more detailed videos would be a good way to go.
So check these out.

Oh, I can't take it! I have to show some cool images.
Here.
Cool...

Hot!

Tall.

I also have some cool news about tutorials and training material next week. We have a modo community favorite hard at work on a really cool series of training videos for the install. I'll post some samples next Friday.

Man, poor Lux Servers lol. You know its bad when the servers are uploading at 3/4KBs lol.
You should really set up a torrent server for all this stuff. It would ease your traffic troubles immensly.. and i'd be happy to seed :)

And can you tell us what exactly we are looking at in the first image? I love it, but don't know what I am seeing... glass and perhaps caustics or other glass objects? Not sure... looks cool though.

It sounds you all not using a Download-Manager. I get 10 kb/s with DAP.
