(Note to 13 year old Brad: I'm making an audio broadcast to tens of thousands of people on a computer in my lap in my backyard. This rocks!)

Backyardcast

Some links mentioned in the show. Show? modcast. Whatever!

PaQWak Rock!

Grab his asset. Someone had to say it.

Replicator madness!

Say good night Gracie.

I'm very glad Luxology didn't go with a subscription model. We love Luxology because it doesn't behave like Autodesk.

Wow! This is a surprise! Thanks for the early modcast, Brad!

I shall have to listen to it a little later, though. :(

Ace MIles! I remember him from the Lightwave Mailing List. Very helpful, as I recall... Good to hear that he's doing well.

Oops, my 8yr old corrected me. He builds 2ft long X-wings. He's not into tie fighters. And he's saving up now for the $200 discontinued Star Destroyer. That's his lego and bionicles. He's got a bookshelf full of the stuff.

He even completed the wii Star Wars Lego game - Complete Saga.

He also like to make movies by using sheets as back drops, moving his lego and bionicles around, taking stills and using imovie to export movies.

As soon as he's ready, Dan Ablan's DVD's will be teaching him modo!

Congratulations to Jeddie, also PaQWaK you did a great job on the truck model. The replicators experiment is very good gives some ideas, I also liked the Caua short movie, it was amusing, =).
Regarding the SP-oned naming, maybe you can follow sort of a Zappa like theme, like SP-oned some more, the return of the son of SP-oned, etc, you get the idea.
Bravo to everyone at Luxology for all the passion and commitment they have to achieve excellence, and for the community for all the inspiration, thank you!.

SP 2 ?
That sounds cool. I still have many issues with 401.
May I wish something: Please check for the autosave in Modo 401 Osx. I really have 1-2 crashes (or hangs) per day when Modo starts autosave, this is really a bad bad thing.
And I really hope you fix the item list order problem, I need to see the same order in my list each time I open my scene.
Have fun in your new office!

Please make sure you have bugs filed for any of these issues. I've been mostly out of the loop lately on dev issues so I can not speak to them directly but I do know that if we don't have proper bugs filed it is possible we won't know about them! And if we don't know about them we can't fix them. :)

True Brad, I really fill out the forms as often as possible, but you know, if it's not reproduce able like with occasional crashes it's really hard to prove the bug.
I can only give that hint: I noticed it really often when searching for the last autosave after a crash that the last autosave was 15 minutes ago, exactly the time I use for autosave. And that differs from 302.
Hope someone can check for any possible bugs.
And thanks for caring!

yes Brad, the problem is that often it's a random crash... I try to repeat the steps,it crashes but on third try just to reconfirm, it works and on fourth it works.... ???

so very difficult to file a bug with this behavior....

I dont see the point of sending it when I cannot reproduce it effectively.

you guys should do the MS thing like windows crash popup...

'Do you want to send this to Luxology' SEND - DON'T SEND.

I think you will get lots of data to work with and work out the kinks.... not a 3D Modo improvement but over long term, this will definitely help to reduce/avoid the uproars that can occur on the forums sometimes for some crashes....and make Modo better, faster !

just a thought !!
