Hello,

Here's a 'final' rendering of the little tractor.
The wip thread was here :
http://forums.luxology.com/discussion/topic.aspx?id=38867

Thanks to everyone for the cool comments I receive during the modeling. The Modo community rocks ;), and I'm happy to share the model ->

http://www.luxology.com/asset/meshes/view.aspx?id=844

I'll love to add a wireframe rendering of the final version here, but I have some trouble to run the script, I'm affraid I don't have enough memory to generate the wire :'(

Cheers.

Incredible work PaQ WaK
That's the cleanest modeling I've ever seen and your
texturing is brilliant.
I used to ride something similar as a kid and I can feel the
plastic in yours is perfect.

This is such a well done model. I feel that only modellers can appreciate it at its true value ( I hope that sounds correct in english. ).

If your looking for a job, you should definitly make a turnable and clossup if it.

For the wires, you can't use the old barimetric trick? I sure would love to see them on this final version.

That's a cool tractor! I think it needs some cool decals though!

Try running the wireframe script on individual parts of the mesh, it's a pretty brutal script. You can also just do the right wheels and mirror the wire curves, but that can be a job in itself :)

Sweet. Now it only needs some plastic mould-flow streaks like those you find on big cheap plastic parts...

Wow! How about a tutorial on how you do your workflow on some select shapes that you are proud of most :)

Seemingly a simple model. But the best artists always make complex things look elegantly simple. PERFECT textures!

I created a dune buggy awhile back -before I got Modo. There was only a primitive, awkward way to add big knobs to tires with my limited software & skillset. Can I inquire as to your general modeling sequence for the excellent tires?

This brings back recollections of the scent of the soft rubber on a new toy when taken out of the box for the first time!
