OMG FIRST POST!!!!
Okay moving on, I liked the straight foward news! I also like the hour long jam sessions when rendering stuff too lol.
The difference between the possible and the impossible lies in a person's determination.

Hey! Brad! Don't make strictly news Modcasts! I like to hear some "rambling"! Keep the character of the Modcast, I say! Substance is good, but no unrelated topics etc. isn't.
Let it be how you naturally make it. I think it's nice to have some rambling - it makes it less... business-like and more, friendly - like Modo itself! Not stiff and business-like but rather fluid and friendly! :D
Just my opinion - and thanks for the Modcast, by the way.

OK, who's going to be the first to slap Robert Lechl with a wet kipper for killing our Modcast?! *raises hand eagerly*
I absolutely loved last week's Modcast, as I love all the more 'conversational' Modcasts. I love the entertainment factor that Brad's great personality AND professionalism bring to it. I don't want to fall asleep listening to news item upon news item and nothing else!
Brad, you've made your point with the tiny, eight minute, low key news 'bulletin', and we've used and discarded the wet kippers. Now - back to 'business as usual' next week please! Maybe Andy talking about his curry and beer, Ryan and his info about crazy bikes with no brakes (Ryan is so cool and always reminds me of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when he talks - is that just me?), or Bob and his wonderful enthusiastic use of 'man' and 'intense' (I love listening to Bob talk so much, I could listen to him all day!)
Bring back the FUN!

Agreed! However, If all the hard news came at the beginning and then came the awesomeness there after, that might solve some problems.

Oh my, I almost forgot how that old intro sounded! It's good, but I preferred it when Brad turned DJ on us!
I even bought some tunes after listening to some!

robert lechl seems to like criticism a lot... perhaps it's because of the bad, bad summer we experience this year here in munich :-) anyway, he's wrong about the modcast, cause this would end up with a very boring (yet informative) clean news-ticker. and that would take away a lot of the fun factor! very happy to here abot the service pack!! hope that will help some painting problems I experienced!!

Thanks Brad. Fine news. I have to admit missing the intro-bump and closing cow. They certainly came to be trademarks of the modcast. My personal taste in music is different than yours, so frequently I do end up mousing past it. That is my choice. Do you do jazz? Clasics?
Brief newsy casts do have their benefit. At times they satisfy quickly so I can get down to other business. The long ones often have to be postponed. But when we are eager for news of upcoming modo goodness, like the 401, long ones are better medicine.
You are the DJ. “Variety is the spice of life!” as you may have heard.
ps: (Personally, I’d keep the cow.)

I vote for DJ Brad, but then of course you can also never have too many cows.
I'd suggest putting the exciting news at the end of the modcast.
This modcast sponed.

Robert, sorry if I got you smacked with a fish. I REALLY do agree with you. Anyway, in the future we'll go hybrid. News up front. Fun on the backside. Like a mullet. Business in the front, party in the back.

Collada - Hurry up :)
Bought yourself a few days till I start asking for it again.
On a serious note, I am really glad you guys are doing this work for the Collada format, it is 100% the reason I made the upgrade to 401. So I am looking forward to it.

Loving the news about the Service pack. Hope this kind of thing becomes a regular occurrence. Don't ever remember Lux ever doing a service patch before. Thank you. It will be interesting the see the release notes on the SP1 to see the bugs and fixes they addressed.
BTW... I like the modcast fluff.

I like a small amount of rambling, but have to agree, an hour is way too long. Nobody has that much free time. Maybe you could add chapters to the QT so that we get a quick idea of what is covered and can jump to the bit that we're interested in.

....and might you place some cleverly drawn storyboards along the bottom or the edge or somewhere, that we might click and view while we listen?

And get Bob to do a tutorial on something :D
