Hi all, Another creature of the night that loves to feed. It took me about 4 days from start to finish, I was just trying to learn Modo Easy but nice SSS, so this is almost my first SSS on Modo, This image was fully created on Modo, modeling, painting, Desplacments , setup, and finally rendering... I hope you all enjoy.. Thank you..

Congratulations Khalid. have you ever thought in doing a DVD tutorial on how to create this master piece? Wireframes? Shader settings? Anything knowledge that you can share with us? Thanks and keep the good work. ;)

Hi Bahrain, Really nice model-- and a bit disturbing. I'm going to have nightmares tonight for sure :-)
Could we see some wireframes (both poly and subD)?
Thanks!

quoted for total agreement...and to add...b/c the tongue looks so organic...what's missing ( IMHO ) is some moisture around that area of hisLips....the lower part of theEyes look kind of dry also...

thanks for the workflow overview! absolutely wonderful work.
Did you do DOF in Modo ? I would do DOF in photoshop using Lens Blur with a Depth pass. Modo's DOF can be a bit noisy.

Impressive Khalid muharraqi, Thank you for showing such details of your work. If that is not asking too much, a screen of your shader tree would be nice too to look.
Any ideas to make a DVD Tutorial on how you have achieved this master piece?
Thank you again for the impressive work. Really really good.
I'm dropping XSI, as the key reason why I was learning XSI was to create characters like this one. With this discovery and master piece from you Khalid, you have put me back in track to modo railroad and I thank you for that. I really mean it. I might use XSI for Hair and posing, but the rest, Modo fulfills exactly what I always wanted/needed to achieve. Thank you for showing me/us modo true powers.
I am so glad really glad.
EDIT: I haven't feel like that for ages, but I am so excited now for the modo 301. Untill I saw this master peace, I was having my doubts still even seeing the demo reel from Lux. But this Master piece have made me jumping from my chair and I'm acting like a little boy wanting the candy even more than ever.
Lux: RELEASE THE 301 BEASTTTTTTTT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was done in 203. I think if he had 301 it would be different.
Very amazing piece as always. I love the tongue.
The blood on his mouth and moisture (mentioned) they could use some work.
I'm quite sure everyone who views this, loves it. They are just too busy to comment. :D

Kahlid, Thanks so much for posting the various maps! I was wondering if you could tell me something? I primarily do hard body product/architetural type stuff (non-organic). It's what my work mostly consists of. I love it but I'd like to venture further into the organic. When you create these various maps is it a different UV map for each? I'm sure I don't have your painting and sculpting skills but I'd just like to know how a project like this is actually built.
