Interesting Modcast Brad.

37 myself and picked up golf to stay young. :)

Been photographing for 15 years and 3D for 4 years, and I know the diffence between a f-stop and a bus stop.
I Like the Nikon build/handeling but Canon lenses and image quality.

Forums are creepy. Check outthe forums at http://www.dpreview.com/forums/

Great snapping videos.

Don´t want the summer to end, so I enjoy my 203 and summer golf.

Brad,

Hooray for snapping! (and UV maps)

I guess my CAD background from designing/drawing HVAC systems for years tends to like the precision of snapping to verts or geometry. I’ll relax a bit more now when going back and forth from CAD to Modo (as sson as I get the new tools) with similar tools.

To the note in your modcast about a friendlier responsive environment to the “dumb questions” that are natural to come up. 1) I still ask them all the time. :) 2) How about a glossary of terms on the website? I deal with HVAC jargon all day long, trying to explain things to customers. On the phone with a customer I point them to our webpage directing them to different features including a glossary of terms to help teach them. It helps.

Good stuff from you today…Like always!

Brad,

great videos - I'm really looking forward to 301.

but...

in the chimney snap video I would have just taken that other edge of the chimney and moved it straight down to the plane of the roof. you were oh soooo close, and then... arg! he's eyeballing the vertical line of the chimney! arg! ;-)

maybe there's another way to demonstrate the rotation snap?

best-

nice video, these snapping tools are awesome. now no more moving a box just a little beneath the floor plane to make sure they intersect.

but, that was an awkward moment when he clicked a vertex and then zoomed in and had to click it again?

i think in the chimney video, you should have just moved that other vertex straight down.

That's what i was thinking aswell, but then he wouldn't have been able to demonstrate rotation snapping ;)

Yeah, I did that on purpose. Right. It's like in those action films when you say, "Why didn't he just shoot the guy in the head?" Because then the movie would be over! ;)

Running out the door. No time to listen to the modcast.

But I must know - did Brad mention anything about the 301 training videos??? Are they going to make them available anytime soon???
