Hey you, fourth. I'm fifth.
What is it all about though? Damn this no quicktime at work.... It would be funny if it's about referencing files during render time for inclusion... because I was just discussing that the other day with Chris.

Yeah, along with animating the AA samples this could produce some cool effects lol.

Reference File is very cool! One of the things I have seen inside of Max that I thought would be really cool in Modo; and, lo and behold.
That feature will be very welcomed, indeed.
Can it handle file versioning? If you make a new version of a file, and it is "XY10", instead of "XY9", will it still read as the same file? Or, would you have to manually point the reference to this file? Just curious.
Thanks!

Nice.. That's cool and everything, but how about showing us what those new GI channels are, for having more control over our GI quality and get rid of splotches once and for all?....
We need better GI..

*edit* Here is a link for sea dragon. Good video, but its on the site "College Humor", so it may not be safe for work, so just a heads up before clicking. AWESOME video though. http://www.collegehumor.com/video:1762315

Well i wasn't going to post after i closed FF, but after watching the 2 vids i had to.
I love it man, 301s animation looks great.
Will it also be possible to export MDD's too? To have a two way pipeline so to say?

Sweet, from what I've gathered this is like Blenders tile system? This is cool cause I was just talking to Chris about Modo needing a referencing system! Now large archvis projects can be broken into blocks and worked on silmultanously with ease! Whoopeee!

Constantly using the forum for reference purposes. I'd love a view editing substitute for "noise".

Yeah baby! Yeah! References and editiable with the existing scene. NICE! Now I'd like to see how the whole .MDD thing works if you're not importing an LWO scene. Like how do yo¨ get Maya stuff in? How does world space figure in when you have a bunch of meshes that you exported as .objs into Maya, rigged and animated together in one scene, but probably have to just get the vertex transform info from. How do the seperate meshes get to where they are supposed to be in the scene? Is that info in the .MDD file? Can the .MDD data be saved in the Maya Ascii scene?
