Haha, so they used modo as playback? Wow, smart playback guys, probably whipped that up pretty quick. :)

It probably wouldn't have been done in post, it was most likely done by the on-set playback guys. You would have to contact the production itself and ask for thier playback department.

This isn't CSI.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0499591/combined

the Vanished IMDB link has Zoic listed as the VFX house. But this guy:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1918802/

is the guy who hit play on that when they shot it on set, and probably got the clip from the productions art department.

So why hasn't Mr. Dessani been on this forum? Seems kind of superficial to me. Too good for us lowly scumbags who don't work on formula based crime dramas. :)

Hehe. I actually say that on the last episode and was like, HEY THAT'S MODO!!!

No one knew what I was talking about and they didn't believe it was just an off the shelf app. Cool stuff, they just scaled the monitor up so you couldn't see any window titles and such. They didn't even make it fit all in view though, kinda lame...

We're all so critical of our beloved apps. hehe

Oh dear...

As a side note. Isn't there a special type of licence or at least a special type of permission required from Lux to show their SW in a TV/Film series like this? Just wondering, if, let's say, I can just grab Modo (legally owned of course) and showing it off as some kind of high-end-super-tech GUI for my show on MTV?

Yes, you're allowed to do that.
